To meet the demands for an increase in CT services during the COVID Pandemic Alliance Medical have developed an internal training programme designed to upskill their existing staff who previously had little CT experience to undertake CT within a limited scope of practice. To aid this training we have been fortunate to have been given access to 2 CT Phantoms. The phantoms have been provided by The Radiography Department, University of Salford and The University ofPlymouth. Alliance Medical has a strong relationship with both universities and has been providing placements for SalfordUniversity Radiography students for many years so they can gain a valuable working insight into the clinical world prior to qualification. This year we will be providing formal training placements for the students from the University of Plymouth too which we are really excited about. A number of our graduates have joined us from Salford University and we are hoping to see the same happen with Plymouth. We hope to continue to work with these universities across the UK and many others to collaboratively train the Radiographers of the future.
