MRI allows accurate diagnosis of this distressing condition. At European Scanning Centre, pelvic scans are performed with the patient sitting or standing, and repeated with the patient pushing down, straining into the pelvis. It is more physiologically relevant and offers a major advance in imaging this condition. MRI does not use x-rays and avoids the risk of radiation exposure, unlike traditional voiding cystograms
