European Scanning Centre

Dr Paul Jenkins MA BChir MD FRCP Paul is a Consultant Physician & the Medical Director of the Centre. He trained at Cambridge University and The Royal London Hospital and has been with the Department of Endocrinology at St Bartholomew’s Hospital since 1991. He has a particular interest in disorders of the pituitary, thyroid and adrenal glands and has published over 70 scientific papers in this field.


Dr Sarah Howling MB BS MRCP FRCR Sarah is the Director of Imaging at the Centre and a Consultant Radiologist in general and cardiothoracic radiology at the Whittington Hospital. She has numerous publications, in particular on the chest, which is her major specialty. She trained at the Royal Brompton Hospital in cardiothoracic imaging and completed a fellowship in thoracic imaging in Vancouver.


Dr Christopher Harvey BSc MBBS MRCP FRCR Chris is a Consultant Radiologist at the Hammersmith Hospital where he leads their ultrasound service. He was integral to the early development of CT colonography in the UK from which he has multiple publications and years of expertise. He is our principle gastrointestinal specialist but is also adept in all cross-sectional modalities and carotid ultrasound.


Dr. Christopher Schelvan BSc MBBS MRCP FRCR Chris is a Consultant Radiologist at St Mary’s Hospital. He has numerous publications and is Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College. He has particular expertise in body cross-sectional imaging using his extensive experience in CT, MRI and ultrasound.


Dr Jeevan Kumaradevan MB ChB MRCP FRCR Jeevan is a Consultant Radiologist at the Whittington Hospital where he leads the urology and vascular intervention radiology services. He trained at the Royal Free Hospital and undertook a prestigious Fellowship in Perth, Australia. He is reputed as being able to guide a needle into virtually anything and is renowned for his helpful nature. He provides our urological expertise.


Mr Tony McArthur Tony is our Superintendent Radiographer and has been at the Centre since it first opened over 7 years ago. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the scanner and has a wealth of experience in CT imaging.


Mr Mike Tighe Mike is our Deputy Superintendent radiographer and worked with Tony for many years at The Middlesex hospital before joining the Centre. Mike has a reputation for his warmth and ability to put patients at ease whilst they are being scanned.

Administration Team
Led by our Clinic manager, Claire Johnson, our administration team liase closely with medical staff to ensure everything involved from booking a scan to sending out results is carried out as efficiently as possible. They are always on hand to help with any queries you might have.

Patient Care & Catering
Patricia will ensure you are comfortable and help you to relax in our patient lounge after your scan with a choice of drinks and freshly prepared refreshments. Daily papers and magazines are available to help you unwind, or you may simply wish to watch television.

Sales & Marketing
Inder and Caroline liase closely with GPs and specialists to ensure they have all the materials and support they need from us. They are responsible for all external communication relations and business development.
