Abdominal and pelvic scans £525
Do I need a abdominal or pelvic scan?
The abdominal scan images your abdominal organs including your liver, spleen, pancreas, adrenal glands, aorta, kidneys and lymph glands.
The pelvic scan covers the bladder, pelvic lymph glands, uterus and ovaries or prostate gland. Your medical details will need to be assessed by one of our doctors to ensure this is the most appropriate test for you. You may wish to consider an abdominal and/or pelvic scan if you have any of the following:
Do I need to prepare for the scan?
You will need to fast (no food, but plenty of water) for six hours before you come to the centre for either an abdominal or pelvic scan.
For a pelvic scan we usually need you to have a full bladder as this will improve the quality of the images.
The actual time you spend in the scanner is about 10 minutes. Further details can be found in the Your Visit section.
